If you have enjoyed this study and wish to continue deeper, I strongly recommend the course written by Ram Butler, Living in the Truth of the Present Moment. It is one of my favorites and picks up right where this one leaves off.
Please note: D.R. Butler does not use the term "hardwired thoughts." I chose that term to make this entry-level knowledge as accessible as possible for people unfamiliar with yoga.
-
Some tip-offs or synonyms for samskaras (aka hardwired thoughts) in his lessons:
-
egotistical melodramas, prior or past conditioning, false beliefs, limited knowledge, negative emotions, habitual reactions, and samskaras.
-
-
And some vocabulary in his lessons very often referring to samskaras:
-
the mind, the ego, projections, beliefs, past ways of thinking, past patterns, tendencies, descriptions, definitions, reactions, habits, limiting thoughts...
